Did you know that the very act of gratitude increases your happiness by 29%? I think that is pretty great. That's why I journal and reflect on all I am grateful for...every morning. Now I want to share this process this with you.

We'll be finding our gratitude and putting into the world through our art journals. Oh, and we'll be infusing the entire process with a whole lot of colorful, whimsical, creative attitude. Holla! Writing what we are grateful for is as powerful s speaking them. Maybe even more so because we are putting them out into the universe AND we are experiencing the emotion longer when we see it while creating it. We can refer back to it again many times and say "yes" to it...thus we are able to feel it again.

This workshop will feature 12 creative exercises that are simple, colorful, whimsical and fun! I have so many techniques to share and there is so much gratitude to bring forth. There is a joy that rises within when you express your gratitude and it's amplified when you feel it again thru color, line, form and shape.

Each video will walk you step by step thru the exercises. Watch them whenever you like, as many times as you like, and in the comfort of your own home. There are a few supplies you will need to begin your gratitude journey.

Supply List:

  • Attitude (mmm hmmm)
  • A 8x10 blank journal with thick, unlined pages (I'll be using an 8x10 Moleskine sketchbook journal )
  • Pencils
  • White eraser
  • Black writing pen (UniBalls work well)
  • Markers (I'll be using Copics, but use what you have, seriously)
  • Colored pencils (Prismacolor preferred but use what you have)
  • Acrylic paints (yellow, blue, red, black and white)
  • Paintbrushes (a small and a medium size, flat brush)
  • Colorful Post it Notes (3x3) or solid bright colored paper
  • Glue stick
  • All-Stabillo Marks All Pencil, Black
  • White Gesso
  • High speed internet

This is a workshop for everyone. If you are new to the world of expressive art journaling, then I want to encourage you to invest in minimal supplies. Use what you already have.

The techniques and exercises in this self paced Workshop are intended to be simple, resistant to ridicule, fun at full force, and completely and beautifully imperfect.
