Thought I would give a quick recap about this past weekend. I was a vendor at The Artsarben Art Fair, here in town. Firstly, we had great weather, low 60′s in the morning and mid 70s in the afternoons. I call that perfect. Here’s a shot of my booth before things kicked off the first day.

This was my first go at an outdoor event, and while I was pleased to get into this juried show, I was determined not to go over budget when it comes to displays. That’s another reason why we were lucky for the great weather. The risers on the tables were sturdy double walled cardboard boxes. Hey, they worked!
It was so interesting to see folks reactions to my work. I get feedback from online art friends, family and you guys. So to put my work out in from of a variety of people from all walks of life…that’s another story! I quickly notice though, that folks who stopped and looked, always smiled. So that tells me that my work brings happiness to people. Some of my stuff was a little wonky…so I really didn’t know what to expect.
The weekend went really well. Very pleased with the whole experience.

One gal approached me to purchase a skinny canvas (more on those shortly) and said “Your stuff is weird. I like it.” Well we both laughed and I told her that I had to give her a hug after a comment like that!

Lots of local art friends (old and new) came by, which made my day! So great to see them! Lots of family came by too, which was awesome. My sis in law even spent Sunday with us, and shared a boxful of beautiful Jones Bros. cupcakes. So delicious. Thanks Beth!

One of the sell outs at the art fair was the skinny folks. I’m happy to say I have just finished up these four new skinny folks:

These four cuties will be listed in my shop tomorrow morning!
