Annie Sloan Chalk Paints are fabulous. I know several gals who have tried it and love it. My sister for one. Lucky for us, we have a store here that carries it now. Woot! The paints are really taking off in the U.S. and there are lots more stores carrying it now. I’m so glad I got some, because check out the before and after shots of our kitchen table. And yes, that is the 3 panel chalkboard piece I painted and still haven’t hung them…anyhoo…

I only wanted to paint the top of the table, and left the rest of the table white. That way the chairs would still go. I used Duck Egg Blue. I was leaning toward a couple other colors, but hubby liked this color the best. I love it too! I’ve grown really tired of the “white kitchen” and am looking forward to making more changes in there. That paint is sooo great. No prepping, no priming. It’s awesome. My sister warned me, that it’s addicting and I’ll be looking for lots of things to repaint now. She is right!
Also wanted to share this 10×20 mixed media canvas I painted Friday. I posted a peek on FB and sold it. It sorta flew out the door.

Speaking of painting, I’m back in the studio today. Can’t wait! Paint, paint, paint!

awesome on all accounts. can’t wait to see your finished products from your time in the studio!
Teresa – I just purchased my first batch of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint! Can’t wait to use it
I LOVE your art work!! You are so creative and an inspiration to me. I also have three children, one girl and two boys, and it look like they are about the same age difference as yours. My daughter will be 17 in a couple weeks. She is a junior in high school and my boys are 13 and 11. 8th and 6th grade. I dread the day my daughter goes off to college!
So for now I am hanging on with both hands. Your children are beautiful!!
Can’t wait to see more of your blog/artwork!

after seeing your post I went out to Keep the Piece and got a can of the Duck Egg Blue. I am going to try it this weekend on a small desk I have, and if I like it, will redo my table top (that I burned by sitting a hot pan on).
I am looking forward to Artsarben, but will only be able to go on Sunday since I am going up to MN for the JunkBonanza with my hubby.
I just found your site after looking at Artsarben’s post. I have a tent too, and I’m so excited to see your work in person! Just beautiful! Lots of luck with preparations.
Oh please oh please tell me where you found it in Omaha? I was almost going to drive all the way to KC to seek it out. It looks great, BTW!
