Colorful Faces

A few weeks ago I started taking Mindy Lacefield’s Paint your Story Workshop. Did I tell you that? I think I didn’t. I’ve loved her colorful faces for a long time. Was so glad to see she was offering a workshop. Bonus, her southern accent (in her videos) is adorable. Makes me miss living in the south! The workshop is almost finished up, and I am way-hey behind, but I thought I’d share a few photos of what I’ve done thanks to her teachings.

First, the faces. In colored pencil. If you are a Smash Show fan, will you agree with me that this girl on the left looks like the producer in Smash? If she had a bob haircut she totally would. This girl has so many pointy features. Not planned…just turned out that way. P.S. I love that show. I can sing most of the songs…you’ll just have to trust me on that…

Here are more faces:

Painted and with a crazy background:

Sigh, those faces are so intriguing to me. I’m a big fan. I want to make more and more and more so badly. I will once Summer is here. I hope so anyway.

I will leave you with a peek of a sketchy sketch chicky-poo (in her power cape) for my newly launched Creative Surrender EWorkshop. She is the start of something good…

Enjoy your day.
