We had a wonderful Easter weekend! Hope you did, too. In the midst of prepping for Easter dinner, my daughter asked if I was going to take a photo of the kiddos. I hesitated. I was busy. Frazzled. Company was coming in 30 minutes or less.
It was a tradition though, and I couldn’t not do it. The boys were preoccupied. Then grouchy when we tried to rally them together. The deviled eggs weren’t finished. There were eggshells on the floor.
But I couldn’t not do it.
After we pulled the boys outside by their ears, it took less than 2 minutes to snap a few shots. I’m so glad I did. Look what I would have missed.
“Not that lens”, she said. “It gets all up in your grill”, she said.
I’m so glad I used that lens. I would have missed all of the detail and depth.
It was my trusty 85 mm fixed lens by the way. I love that lens so much. I’ve been using my iphone camera too much lately. It takes great photos, but there is no comparison to my Canon SLR. And that lens.
The deviled eggs made it to the table just fine. They were gone in 20 seconds. But these photos will last a lifetime.
